My mom spent her last 15 years in Ida Grove, up in the northwest corner of Iowa. I visited her many times and lived there with her during her last 2 1/2 months as she was dying from pancreatic cancer. The people of her town were so warm, caring, and supportive, that Iowa will forever have a soft place in my heart. I thought from the picture it looked like you were in Iowa! Personally, I don't think God wants us to be so self-righteous, as many churches today seem to infer. Abstaining from sin? I love that you have internalized the concept to fit you! My mom bought me Robyn Griggs Lawrence's book and while we loved the ideas we are both born again belivers and, as you know, the source of our true peace is the Living God, not a tea ceremony, although we can appreciate the idea of taking time to meditate :) especially on God's word.
